Dr. Shamsi also discussed the different ways in which native and non-native speakers experience ELA. Native speakers may be anxious about their ability to write in a formal academic style, while non-native speakers may be anxious about their grammar and vocabulary. Additionally, non-native speakers may also be anxious about the cultural differences that they may face when publishing in English-language journals.
